An image perspective of the development. Based on the design concept of " Newly appeared hills in Shonan," it will provide visitors with a calm and relaxing ambience.

Interested tenants at the guidance session were attracted by the scale model on display.

The arcade-like pedestrian deck at the north exit of JR Tsujido station has already been completed. This deck will provide visitors with easy access to the shopping center even on rainy days.
Sumitomo Corporation and Sumisho Urban Kaihatsu, Co., Ltd. have engaged in the development of a large size shopping center that will be a core of Shonan C-X (pronounced "Shonan C-Cross") project, the large-scale complexed development currently underway at the north exit of JR Tsujido Station in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Known as the Shonan Tsujido Project, the new four-story shopping center is scheduled to open in November 2011 with approximately 280 stores.
Envisaged under the plan is a shopping center that harmonizes with the natural surroundings of Shonan area. Bathed in cool breezes, the facility is designed to provide the visitors with comfortable ambience with the wide sky and nearby ocean, and to make them feel like walking in barefoot. It is to be connected to the station at 2nd floor via pedestrian deck, together with an open terrace that will form a stage of various local community events.
Shonan area has higher proportion of people in their 30s and 40s among its population. Our survey showed that, while many in this demographic are satisfied with the availability of reasonably priced goods at local retailers, they feel a lack of their favorite shops or famous brand stores in neighbourhood. Based on these findings, we have projected a development of a stylish shopping center under the concept " Rich, calm and graceful days " that would appeal to discerning shoppers. Meanwhile, Sumitomo is seeking to contribute to flourishment of the town that attracts more and more people, through mutual cooperations with local shop owners.
About 1,000 people participated in this guidance for interested tenants held on July 13, indicating the high expectations toward this project, which is said to be the last large-scale redevelopment project in front of the station in Shonan area. Following its opening autumn 2011, Shonan Tsujido Project is expected to attract 20 million visitors a year. We will post new topics here on our website when we have further updates.
