- Could you describe your job?
- London Center Accounting Department role is to centralize the accounting functions of the European offices like London, Paris, Düsseldorf, etc., and also of group companies. My role is mainly to look after the following Business Departments in London office: Aerospace, Ship & Marine, Food & Materials, Bunker Oil, Carbon, Non Ferrous and Oil & Gas.
30 staff are working in London Center Accounting Department.
- What is the most rewarding part of your job?
- I feel fulfilled when I can identify, avoid or mitigate problems by anticipating the situations likely to cause them and taking proactive measures. When I receive positive feedback from my colleagues or business departments, I feel more confident and motivated.
- What methods of communication do you use with sales departments?
- For the smooth execution of tasks, I try to maintain close communication with sales people. I use different communication tools depending on the time and circumstances. I usually make a phone call for small matters, send an e-mail when records should be kept and directly meet the person for more complicated issues, and so on.
- What do you do to relax?
- On weekends, I go for a walk with my husband to parks or forests outside London to get some fresh air. During the week I enjoy talking with my co-workers over lunch or go for a drink or dinner after work. Sometimes we organize events and parties with my colleagues and we have a very good time.
