What kind of business are you engaged in?: Our company has developed two office buildings in Jakarta, Summitmas I in 1985 and Summitmas II in 1992, leases and manages them. There are two divisions in the company, which are business/administration and maintenance, and I belong to the former one. I mainly handle marketing but I am also responsible on the other departments under my division, such as the accounting department and human-resources/general affair department.

Please tell me your lifestyle.: I get up at five every morning. Actually my company officially starts from eight but it takes about an hour to reach the office from my home. Besides, I have to cook meals for my family which consists breakfast, lunch box for the kids and dinner as well, since I have quite limited time to prepare meals after coming home from work. At night, I occasionally help my kids with their study if they require. I try to cherish my family, and my dream is to be able to raise my children to become respectable persons.

Have you visited any noteworthy places in Japan?: Well, actually this is my fourth visit to Japan, and in my latest trip I had a chance to go to St. Ignatius, a Catholic church in Yotsuya and joined the mass there. Although I'm not an exceptionally religious person, I go to church every Sunday in Jakarta. The atmosphere I felt when attending the mass in Japan was really a very special experience for me. I also had the chance to visit two other places that were interesting; Akihabara and Roppongi Hills. Akihabara is a gigantic electric town with numerous shops that sell electrical instruments. With the help of my former bosses, I was able to buy an electric dictionary that just matches my needs for a reasonable price. At Roppongi Hills which is a skyscraper in the middle of Tokyo, I enjoyed watching the Tokyo city view, continued with strolling along the amazing artworks in the museum at the 52^nd floor.

What do you think is important for the two buildings of PT SUMMITMAS PROPERTY to become better?: To provide best services for "Comfort" and "Safety" at the same time would become an essential issue. Conducting periodical renovation of the building facilities and equipments to keep the facilities in good condition is an important point. On the other hand, the company human resources shall always be kept well-trained and motivated to provide their best services. As for the security matter, sufficient security equipments and guards are provided for purpose of the Tenants and building security. While enhancing security, taking the time of the tenants and guests for checking of their vehicles as well as hand-carry by our security guard when entering the buildings are something unavoidable. Some Tenants may feel it uncomfortable to have their belongings checked before entering the buildings. I feel that we always have to try keeping the balance in comfort and security. I do wish that our two buildings would become an icon of prime quality office in Jakarta.
