- How is the workplace atmosphere at Sumitomo Corporation (Shanghai)?
- The workplace is full of life. The people in our division are spirited thanks to the efforts of the marketing people, who are energetic and flexible. At many companies, workers in certain divisions are said to feel a sense of isolation from people in other divisions. But that kind of environment does not exist at all at Sumitomo Corporation (Shanghai). At our office, communication is smooth between Corporate Units and Business Units. People across divisions support each other, creating a sense of unity. This kind of work environment has helped foster a challenging spirit among workers, making the workplace full of vitality.

- What are your hobbies?
- I like traveling. I often travel to Japan. Recently, I visited Hokkaido and saw the so-called “philosophy tree.” I like to visit places where I can taste delicious foods and experience culture. Among such places in Japan are Kyoto and Osaka. The Nikko Toshogu Shrine is also a place I strongly recommend one to visit.
Guilin is one of athe famous scenic spot in, China. What I really like about Guilin is the Indian ink painting-like scenic beauty. Attracted by the beauty, I visited Yangshuo, Guilin, twice
- What are your goals for the future?
- It has been still less than a year since I joined Sumitomo Corporation. I would like to make further efforts to deepen my understanding about the business philosophy of our company and its workers so that I can get be more familiar with the new work environment as soon as possible and I can support colleagues on the personnel affairs front.
