November 2011

Shonan C-X (C-Cross) is a large-scale urban development project located at the north exit of Tsujido Station on the JR Tokaido Line in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
The Terrace Mall Shonan was opened in November 2011 as the core of that complex.
Having a total of 170,000m2 in floor area (approx 3.6 times the size of Tokyo Dome) and 281 shops, the mall is one of the largest shopping malls in the Shonan area.
Members in Sumitomo Corporation’s Retail Facilities Department were in charge of management of the development of this mall.
This project has originated from nearly 30 years ago, and Sumitomo Corporation has been energized to pursue this project by the passion of building for itself a flagship symbolizing its retail facilities business.
Emboldened by this dream to shake off the two great crises that have afflicted the project — the Lehman Shock and the Great East Japan Earthquake — Sumitomo Corporation has created a shopping mall harmonizing with Shonan’s rich natural surroundings.
