(head office: California, the United States; CEO: Abhay Jain; hereinafter “AS”), a start-up developing cloud platform for mobility service using in-vehicle hardware and artificial intelligence (AI).

AS provides mobility operators with real-time accurate analysis, allowing for more efficient and safe management of the transportation business. AS already started service in India in 2015 and carried out data analysis on 35,000 vehicles for a total of 400 companies, demonstrating superior reliability and scalability of its cloud platform and contributing to efficiency improvement of its client companies. AS has a plan to launch its service in North America and Asia in the second half of fiscal 2018, and will expand to cover East Asian countries and increase the number of vehicles covered by its service in the future.
The Sumitomo Corporation Group is paying attention to business opportunities that become available with structural changes in the automotive industry, and contributes to the development of next-generation mobility society by supporting AS with this investment.
