Sumitomo Corporation currently owns 22 aircraft and leases them to airlines in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa under operating-lease contracts. Sumitomo Corporation has made aircraft leasing its core business and is actively expanding that business and its fleet portfolio. In the past, Sumitomo Corporation had no operating lease contracts with any Japanese airlines, and therefore, the latest contract with ANA marks the first aircraft lease transaction for Sumitomo Corporation with a Japanese airline.
