Sumitomo Corporation and Amata Corporation PCL. agreed to work together in the marketing and sales of industrial parks in Thailand.

Sumitomo Corporation (President and CEO: Susumu Kato; hereinafter, "Sumitomo") has agreed with Amata Corporation PCL. (hereinafter, "Amata"),  a leading Thai industrial park developer, to work together in the marketing and sales activity for Japanese companies.

 

Thailand is fourth country for Sumitomo to deal industrial park's business following Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam. 
Sumitomo starts the assistance of land sales and lease rental factory of existing two industrial parks by Amata for the time being and expects further alliance to develop new industrial park together in Thailand or other country in Indochina or infrastructure business in industrial park in the future.

 

Sumitomo is the only Japanese company which organizes a specialized department for industrial park's business and developed and manages industrial parks in Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam except for Thailand.
Sumitomo concludes Thailand is a promising country for Japanese investors especially for manufacture as a "China Plus One"
in Indochina economic area and also for Sumitomo to expand own service menu in its business.

 

Details of industrial estates which Sumitomo starts marketing and sales in Thailand are as follows.

1. Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate
   Location                  : Chonburi, Thailand (57km east of Bangkok)
   Total Area               : 2,480 ha
   Number of Factories : 502
  
2. Amata City Industrial Estate
   Location                  : Rayong, Thailand (114km east of Bangkok, 27km from
                                   Laem Chabang port)
   Total Area               : 1,360 ha
   Number of Factories : 124
