Wireless broadband Internet operator «Super iMAX» («EVO» trademark) announces its opening. The official opening ceremony and press-conference, where representatives of state organizations, diplomatic corps, businesses, and shareholders are invited will be held on 17th of October in capital's Intercontinental hotel.

EVO - is the first WiMAX network in Uzbekistan and one of the world's first operator's network with WiMAX Wave-2 technology. The provided services are based on wireless broadband internet access technology and the company has all necessary licenses and permission documents for providing such telecommunications services on the territory of Uzbekistan.

EVO provides integrated wireless data transfer solutions, which allows arranging shortly access to Internet, telephony, and virtual private networks (VPN) services.

Presently WiMAX network covers Tashkent city, Tashkent, Samarkand, Andijan, and Fergana regions. During the next year the company plans to expand WiMAX network all-over the country.

Super iMAX was founded in 2007 by global companies KT Corporation (Korea) and Sumitomo Corporation (Japan).

KT Corporation, Korean telecommunication corporation, which was established in 1981 and nowadays is the Korea's top integrated wired and wireless communications service provider. In 2007, KT with its number of employees of 35,000 people enjoyed the revenue of about USD 11.8 billion.

Sumitomo Corporation is one of the oldest trading-industrial organizations in Japan which was established in 1919, carrying out its activities in various business spheres, including information-communications technology. The corporation has wide network of representative offices all over the world - 148 offices in 66 countries of the world.

WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) - wireless broadband Internet access technology based on International standard IEEE 802.16.
