Sumitomo Corp. will partner with Frontmedia Inc. for the strategic alliance on Mobile TV business, distributing video content over cellular phones, and will consider promoting new business model for the mobile advertisement, mobile TV program, mobile e-commerce, mobile e-marketing, mobile website design and CDN (Content Delivery Network).

Frontmedia operates Mobile TV site `Qlick.TV' (QTV) for cellular phones, distributing video content such as news, animation, movies, music and shopping for more than 1million users in Japan currently.

The major trading firm, Sumitomo got the stake of Frontmedia, the leading Mobile TV operator in Japan, through a private equity placement and two firms signed the strategic alliance partnership agreement for Mobile TV business.
